Mics 2.0 to 4.1 upgrade

Are there any problems that could arise from this upgrade? The customer has a Flash 4. software version unknown...Mike

Cost, I guess. The customer has the 4.1 in their possesion. They want the upgrade so they can call forward their mailboxes externally. Does the 6.1 do a whole lot more. Should I be worriied that the Flash won't be compatable?...Mike

mics 2 is pretty old ...so make sure the voicemail is compatible with teh upgrade

do feature 983 and login and press 9 to get the version info and post ...

I will get the software version of the Flash tomorrow, but do you know if the upgrade will go ok?...Mike

If you use the proper Upgrade Tool with the right NVRAM cartridge you will be fine except the vmail needs to be 1.9 or higher.

Curlycord...do I really need an upgrade tool to perform this upgrade? The problem is I don't have one at this point. I just bought one on ebay, v.25.07. Is this the one that would do the trick?....Mike

Your last post almost sounds like you say you dont have the tool but you just bought one?
v.25.07 is the right upgrade tool!!
You will need it to retain memory/programming otherwise you need to re-program the whole system.

And the procedure with the upgrade tool is to power down, insert upgrade tool,power up, power down, insert 4.1 software, and live happily ever after?

if you go to 6.1 on ksu your voicemail needs to be 2.0 at least that has been what I have found out. good luck

Power down everything includng modules and disconnect amphonels when using the Tool!
