Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
I just responded to a thread by tottie with a similar problem. Please, before doing anything, log on in Safe Mode WITHOUT LAN connection. Check your running processes and list them. I would like to see if there are any similarities before you attempt to clean it any more. That is unless you have already fixed it. Also, do you have Norton Antivirus installed? Also while in safe mode check your Event Viewer and look for any Errors. What are they?
