Microsoft Word Bold Problem

Hello

When im using microsoft Word (Office 2003) Ive got a couple of paragraphs andi want a selected paragraph to be Bold but when i do this the Whole text turns bold instead of the selected.

Any idea's ?

How are you selecting the text that you want to modify?

Check out the Formatting Style applied to the paragraph.
It may have the Automatic Update option selected.

This is set in the Modify Format dialog box which can be accessed from the Styles and Formatting Task Pane.

When selected, formats applied to any text formatted with the Style will be applied to the Style which will in turn affect all text formatted with that Style. I hope that makes sense!

Is there a button that will restore all the options within word 2003 back to default without uninstalling ?
