microsoft webbrowser control

i am experimenting with the webbrowser control.
wrote a small html viewer that uses it and it works fine for (as you might imagine) viewing html files and it shows images correctly.

i then tried to add some sophistication and make the control visible and invisible so i could edit the html text and then view the results.

the visible / invisble steps work and the webrowser control appears on the screen to switch with the textbox control correcly, except that images dont appear in the webbrowser control when it becomes visible.

in the simple application, where the webbrowser control is always visible, images appear just fine.

i tried this and that but cannot get images to appear in the webrrowser control that is turned visible and invisible.

these are png images....but agian they appear correctly both in IE and in the simple webbrowser that is always visible.

any guidance would be appreciated.

You should post your solution for anyone else that has the same problem in the future, and searches for an answer.

the problem had nothing to do with the webbrowser control.... it was my programming error.... when exiting the 'edit' mode i did not write the 'scratch' file to the correct folder so when the 'view' mode called the file into the webbrowser control, the linked images were not in the correct relative folder.

dumb mistake, true.
