Microsoft Update Disks Just Arrived Today (Free)

Wow, These Microsoft Update Disks are rather nice. They contain critical updates for Win9x, Me, 2000, Xp, along with Service Packs, sure will make reinstall a lot faster, also have an anti-virus program and firewall, also a disk for Office Xp updates. Imagine Microsoft sending these free!!! Now no one can claim they have no anti-virus or firewall also those with dial-up will have no excuse not to be up to date.

bcastner, in my initial post i never claimed this contained service pack 2 for Win Xp.

I never wanted to imply you had suggested it included SP2. My apologies if my factual statement seemed to imply any misrepresentation on your part. It was not intended. I thought your original note just missed the hyperlink, and an explanation in detail for what was or was not included; and I apologize if anything else was read in my notes above.

If I remember correctly the XP updates on the CD are only current up to the end of October 2003, any thing after that date must be downloaded the old fashioned way.

You are absolutely correct.
The only key update missing is the 2-04-2004 IE update.

It still says a lot of time for re-installers, and people who are way behind in Windows Update and use dial-up.
