Hello,
I use MS Project to export data to an Oracle database. The problem is that MS Project always overwrites the existing tables in the database. Does anyone know if this can be solved?

thanks

I don't have the answer for you but I have a place where you can look.
The FAQ or some other catergory like that are actually known/past tech problems people have had. There is a search tool. You can also find where you can actually send email to a real live person.
Hope it helps.
Andy

Find MS Project on index on the left.

I'm not sure about Oracle, but when you save a "database" to MS SQL server via ODBC, it createas a new database structure, overwriting the old. When you just save as a "project" it appends.

Yes I know this, but I don't want to overwrite my Oracle database because it has some permissions. How can this be done?

try saving to a different file (name). The DB should have more functionality to compare/append the new file to the existing. I'm not familiar with oracle, but most other DB packages I've worked with will let you do this.

Good luck! Let us know if it works.
Kevin
