On the network about 1/2 the people's outlook 2000 freezes for a period of time some of them has to end task and others if they wait long enough it unlockes. The othe r1/2 of the personel doesn't hav ethis problem we are al lon the same exchange server. Anyone have any ideal what is going on. We tryed researching this with no luck

One possibility is that none of your users are really locked up. If it happens that all of your users are set up to work off line in Outlook, there can be a noticeable delay as folders get synchronized each time they log on.
The obvious question is this: are the users who lock up the same every time, or does it seem to randomly affect different users at various times?
If it is the same users all the time that lock up, are they all on the same server?
And finally, if they are all on the same server, is the server heavily used at a particular time of day (during which your users are "locking up").
If they are not the same users who get locked up each time, then it is something to do with synchronization or the order in which they attempt to log on (server gets overloaded).

Hello and thank you for responding, We solved the problem the Profiles were corupting.

We are all on the same Exchange server and the server's load is munimal, It is always the same user that look up. SO we fix the corrupted profiles and all seams well now.

Thanks for you time :)
