Microsoft Office 2000 Pro 2

Successfully installed Office 2000 Pro, all programs load fine except Access.  System Error message opens stating too many programs loaded (I've eliminated everything else), and then the "illegal operation" notice comes up stating msaccess caused an invalid page fault.  I've reloaded Office and even tried opening Access while in safe mode with still the same results.

Can you give more detail about the error message? Does it give any error numbers or modules that are having the problem??  The exact message may be useful.

I did not receive any other error messages other then what I originally posted.  I did suceed in loading Access by running the program directly from the CD.  My computer is loading several other small "foot-print" programs which shouldn't cause these error messages.  By the way, thanks for your interest LadyH.

I guess I should have thought of these earlier...which OS and was this a clean install or an upgrade.&nbsp;&nbsp;I recieved some information earlier today about Office 2000 problems if the install was done over a beta version.&nbsp;&nbsp;The problem the article reported was office applications quitting as soon as the application was launched with no error message.&nbsp;&nbsp;Heck, I'll try to post the article and see if it is any help (if it isn't too big)&nbsp;&nbsp;The article is from TechRepublic:<br><br>Programs quit immediately <br>&nbsp;after starting <br><br>&nbsp;You're getting complaints from users about Office 2000<br>&nbsp;programs that quit immediately after they're started—with no<br>&nbsp;error message! Thanks once again LadyH.&nbsp;&nbsp;My Office was loaded over win98.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the begining I had loaded 2000 over 97.&nbsp;&nbsp;When this didn't work, I uninstalled everything and started from sratch with still the same results.&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm going to look into what you suggested.&nbsp;&nbsp;It makes sense.&nbsp;&nbsp;Thanks!
