I just installed MS office 2000 Professional on a W2K PC, everything is working fine, but when I try to work on some queries, I receive the following message:
Microsoft ODBC Driver Manager - Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

I installed all the features from the disk incl MS query, still the same problem I did a repair, same problem, I uninstalled and re-installed 2 time same problem.
I did install on first use, didn't work either, no other pc on our network has this problem,
Any ideas on how to solve this,
Thanks,

It sounds to me like you may not have the DSN set up. Do you have linked tables for this query?

I guess not, what is a DSN, I never had to set up a DSN, it usually always worked without a problem,
Do you have a step by step on how to do it?
thanks

I'm still having the same problem, so I uninstalled MS Office again, and re-installed it with every option add-in etc possible.
I still have the same problem, the drivers for the ODBC are installed I follow the instructions, on how to setup the DNS, but it is still not working.
the O/S is W2K prof.
thanks

you do not have the .dbf files in your odbc drivers i dont know where to get them either cause i tried installing all the options and it doesnt work
