Microsoft Exchnage 2000 all services not starting

I am facing problem with MS Exchnage 2000 with the services not getting started.In the error which I get during starting of the server is "At least on services failed..." and in the event viewer I get in system log as"The MS Exchnage Information Store services depends on the MS exchnage system attendant sevice which failed to start because of the following error : %%0

I will be greatly obliged if you can help me out with this problem.

I had this same problem, it is to do with the order that the services start up in, if you go in to IIS you will probly see errors on some of you virtual directorys, specificly the ones to do with exchange

it is caused when the world wide web services starts before MSExchangeIS.

the only way to cure it is to edit the regestery to make the W3SVC dependant on MSExchangeIS, it will make the system boot slower, but it will solve the problem.

go to run | regedt32
HKEY_Local_machine
System
CurrentControlSet
Services
W3SVC

in the right hand pane double click "DependOnService"
and below IISADMIN type MSExchangeIS
