Hey how is it going? As you know Microsoft customer support is not the greatest ever so I looking for some other possiblity's. I am the IT technical assistant at Elemco Building Controls and I have a problem at hand. I am not very fluent is how servers work and I have a task to research and impliment a mail server. Right now we have an Intranet in the office all linked to a Windows 2000 Server and we use a Sygate Home Office to link the machines together and give them internet access. We are also hosting a website through Earthlink and they do not provide an outgoing mail server. I have been investigating Microsoft Exchange 2000 for a possible solution. Will that give me the ability to supply an outgoing server name in outlook express? Do you know any links that can help me investigate this Exchange 2000 more thorally? If you could get back to me as soon as possible I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks you for your time

That link screwed up,click on Products and then Exchange and there is a deployment guide somewhere.

Also there is SMTP service included in IIS so check out the 2000 server help files.
