Microsoft Excel Template Wizard

Hi There

I am building an application in excel which uses the template wizard. The users complete a form each time they see a patient and then the details are added to an excel database. The form and associated spreadsheet are saved on our common network drive accessible by all employees.

The application works perfectly when I access it from my machine. However, when I attempt to access it from the pcs in the department who will be using the application, the template opens but when I try to save the form, I get an error message saying Cant Open Template Wizard. The excel database is not updated either. Does this mean that all end users require the template wizard add-in installed on their machine?

What kind of "template wizard" are you talking about? Is it a standard MS tool or is it some sort of 3:d party plug-in? If it is a 3:d party tool you probably have to install that tool on their machines. If it's a MS feature you mean it could depend on how MS Office is installed on their pc's.

Excel database? Excel is NOT a database-tool. Excel is eeergh, Excel... Excel is a spreadsheet-tool which you could refer to as a database if you like but it is technically no database.

Do your users have privilliges to access your network-drive (both read and write)?

Im referring to the Excel Data Template Wizard.

It allows you to create spreadsheet forms which you can save as a template. Any Data added via these forms added to a database. You can set the database to either be an access database or an excel spreadsheet.
