Microsoft Data Link

I don't have Microsoft Data Link in my menu when I right-click and mouseover New. I have downloaded and installed MDAC_TYP multiple times and have installed and run COMCHECK. I corrected the one error it found and it now comes up with no errors or warnings. I have done a reinstall of Visual Studio. I am out of things to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try this,
Right-click and select New->Text Document. After it makes the file Rename it from *.txt to *.udl

Now when you click on it, it should open up as a data link
