OK I have an odd problem and not sure if this an application problem or a DNS issue.
Our programmers made an Microsoft 2002 Form with Microsoft Access and it works just fine in the same building with the servers and even some remote sites work properly, then some remote sites get a lost focus error message as they tab to the next field. ALL sites get the same DNS servers and I can ping the servers that the forms reside on. All help is welcome and appreciated

Are you saying the Access data file is located offsite for some users?

Access is a file server in that the database engine runs on the client that reads the database file... So Access may be reading good chunks of the file over the network. So the network really is the bottleneck. Using SQL Server or SQL Express can help if the application is updated to send appropriate SQL Pass Through queries to limit the returned results.

Yes some users are remote to where the file server is located.I have WAN accelerators (Riverbed Steelhead Appliances) at a few of our sites and some of those people are having the error as well. Thanks for the reply
