A user gets the following error when trying to open an access database. Microsoft jet engine can not find the input table or query claim header......
Our expert database admin is on vacation this week, and so I got the helpdesk call on this. I don't know very much about access, just that I download the data monthly. Can someone help me fix the error above, so that the user can get into this database.

Thanks

I checked Microsofts web site for this error...

Error 3078: Couldn't find input table or query <ownername>.<tablename>

This error occurs when only a table name is provided and duplicate tables exist or synonyms with different owners exist. In this case, the Microsoft Access database engine resolves the ambiguous reference by picking one of the duplicate table name owners based on alphabetical order:

So the questions to consider...
- Is the Access database linked to an Oracle database?
- When I see ambiguous, I think of duplicates. Is the user linked to more than one database, and the database uses the same name?

That type of thing...

Review the link for more info.
