Hello,

I am running a Database on Microsoft Access97. The Database is split with the data on a NT server, and the program files are on the Client computers. The main OS of the Client Computers are Win98Se. Problem is the database reports work on some computers but not on others. Its starts popping up "Enter Parameter Value". These reports are based off of a Parameter Query, and work when tested on WinXP Pro with no pop ups. Is this a configuration issue?? Help

Thanks In Advance
Dave

Hi dave,

This really sounds like a version problem.

I'm sure that you have different versions of the front-end on different clients. (Don't say 'never' unless you're absolutely sure).

Rename the front-end DB on the client with the problem and copy a front-end DB to it from a client without the problem and test that.

I think that'll prove it.

Darrylle

Thanks for replying Darrylle,

Tried that, still didn't work. All systems are running MS Access97 SR2, and the Front end portion of the Database is installed on one Client, checked to see if it works on that one, and if successful transfered to the other clients using a Shared Company Folder. Hypothetically they should all work?? Any other suggestions?

Dave

Thanks All, Turns out to be old versions of MDAC on the computers that are not working. Just have to upgrade to a newer version and everything is great again ! Thanks Again for all your help!
