Hi,
I want to know how I can join a workgroup to my Microsoft Access 2002 database without making the newly created workgroup (i.e. new_workgroup.mdw) my default workgroup.
Every time I join the new_workgroup.mdw to my database, all other Access databases default to new_workgroup.mdw.
I know you can create a shortcut to the database and type in the full path in the target using the new_workgroup.mdw to override the original workgroup (i.e. system.mdw) but I find when I do that that it works only if you use the shortcut. But what if someone happens to click on the original database which uses system.mdw? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of using a workgroup? I am confused. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for your support! ;o)
