micros ws5a connect to Epson T88 printer 1

One of my workstation WS5A has Epson TM-T88V receipt printer which is printing very light. I bought used one same model from ebay and connected with serial and power cable.
WS5A will not print. Connect back the old one it works fine except very light printing.
How do i connect this new printer? Is there any setup I need to do? I thought being a same model it would just work.

Was the original printer also serial?

If so, check the dips witch settings on the motherboard of the printer and make sure they are set the same as the old printer.

To access dip switches, unscrew the little silver door on the bottom of the printer. Make sure the power is off when you make changes

Yes. Those dip switched were the issue. Now it is working.
