Hello,

I have a SIM/PMS interface that I have been using for years with 3700/9700. I am now testing it with Simphony V1 and it can't seem to communicate with the interface host. The only thing that I can think of is that it might have something to do with the fact that I don't have a Service Host configured. I'm not familiar with the concept of Service Host, so not really sure how it applies to a SIM/PMS interface.

Any help that anyone can give me is greatly appreciated.

Sean

You need an account on the Micros website to get to the wiki. Most of us can't get one.

Moregelen, thanks so much for the documents. As suspected, I do not have a Micros account and cannot access the WiKi. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, after I posted this I had something unexpected come up and just now had a chance to review the info. Once I got the service host setup correctly everything started working!

I am currently going through the same struggles with Simphony. Did you create a CAL Package with your Interface info in it, then create a folder with a setup.dat file and isl inside each workstation's folder (WS5, WS5A, etc.)? I was lucky enough to have a micros tech work through it with me as he was also learning Simphony. Getting some different errors now but at least it connects. Let me know if you still need some help.
