Hi
I have a couple issues it seems when my system does its nightly end of day operations the backup is not done correctly? The past few weeks i been gettin out of space on drive c and the server freezzes up i deleted as much stuff as i could on that drive but its only 2 gig to begin with.. now it seems i know what the problem is my internal zip drive is not working right i cant get it to read any zip disks I imagine i can replace it but i ll have to order it online since those drives are kinda obsolete now, I assume that i been gettin those errors since the zip drive is part of the nightly backup and when it fails it doesnt clean the logs on my c drive or something like that is there any way I can bypass it or eliminate that step or add to my pc some other storage device to replace the zip drive and how?Installing the hardware is not as much an issue as programming it to work with micros software since i have no idea where to edit the steps it takes.
I am running windows NT 4.00.1381 and micros 3.0.24.65
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I think 3.0 was really bad for .tmp files. Search and delete all .tmp files

Take a look in c:\micros\database\data\backup too. Your database backups will be in there. If the EON autosequence is failing it may not be purging old backups correctly. You should only be keeping 2 or 3 backups.

I haven't seen 3.0 in years, but I'm pretty sure there's an option on the system tab in the configurator to set how many backups to keep.

Ya in the poscfg -> System -> Restaurant there is a box to enter the number of backups to keep.

If the zip has failed then you will be better off just getting a usb harddrive and creating a schedule task in windows or in the micros autosequences to copy these backups over every night and delete the old ones.

Thanks for the help everyone i think i fixed the problem :)
