Micros RMC - 9700 HMS update error.

I am installing Micros RMC updates, specifically SP 12 from a network drive. On the install I am receiving the message "Some window files were replaced and your system must be rebooted before the 9700 HMS installation can continue". On reboot I just continue to receive the same message. Any ideas would be extremely useful. Thanks.

Make sure you are on the latest OS updates from Windows. also look from regedit at : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations

and delete any items in there. This is a pending file renaming area that windows uses on reboot. This is where it might be stalled.
