Hi All. I'm new here and have no idea if my question has been asked before.
I did have an extensive look but was unable to find the appropriate answers or indeed the same subject.
I am a user of the Res4.0 system by the fact that I perform back office duties in a medium sized hotel.
We are required to be able to show in detail what a guests final bill was made up off, not just accommodation/food/drinks etc.
As I understand the Res4.0 system/database to work it only retains the detailed information for a 14 day period. Our front desk system, Opera V5.0, only records the food & drinks split not the itemized check detail.
Is there an existing procedure to archive the check details outside of the Res4.0 DB. And if there is not can anyone recommend a way to achieve this.
Thanks in advance
Cheers Adriaan

If i remember correctly you can send the final receipt to Opera via the interface however i cannot remember exactly how this is done. Its probably a tickbox in the opera interface setup program.

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

You can get the full check print from Transaction Analyzer. System should keep check detail for at least 90 days - just depends how it's setup.
Call me if you need help. We support Micros 3700.

Thank you for your quick replies;
@CathalMF: Will have to look it this some more, I know that after a certain period the details are no longer available but as we are shut down for repairs at the moment (Storm damage and reno's) it is a little hard to gage the length of that period. Thanks for the pointer and offer.

@YourMicrosGirl: I will look into this as it would be all we need and would not involve getting loads of data accumulation. I'm not familiar with transaction analyser and may need to call on you yet. Thank you. BTW we are in Australia and have a support contract with Micros so I'll have to follow the appropriate channels there probably.
