Micros Res3700 V5.2 -DB Backups

Hi,

I have recently upgraded two of my stores from V4.7 - V5.2.

Since the upgrade I have found that the "old" DB backups are not being deleted anymore, so I am sitting with loads of backups in the archive folder, although I have set the DB to only hold 9.

I have done a validation on the DB's and receive no errors, the 3700 log file also gives me no errors when running a backup, I have also changed transport keys on one of the DB's, but this has also not made any difference.

Anybody have a solution for this?

Do you have a .bad file anywhere in your backup directory structure.
Backups wont be deleted if a .bad file exists.

Hi!
Try to rename backup folder. For Example to: ....database\data\backup_old

The folder should be recreated, when you will run next backup. Then, if you want to test, run as many backups, as you have defined in configuration to see, if it will keep your given amount of backups in the folder.
