Hello everyone,

I have a 5.6 Micros RES 3700 installation where the ownership is changing and the previous owners would like to clear totals before the handoff to the new owners. I put the system in Database mode, clear totals but the system hangs and will not complete (system displays sql hourglass, then POS configurator window fades into "not responding.") I have let it run for an hour with no progress. I have reinstalled, rebuilt the DB, repaired the DB, all without effect. I have user permissions for the procedure as well. I've run out of ideas and am asking if there is a sql command which would accomplish the same thing? Or another option?

Thank you in advance for your help!

It is normal that the POS configurator window fades into "not responding." during this process.
How big is the database ? let it run a few hours more than only 1 hour.

Funny Story
My Record was an old version but in 3.2 clear all totals 26 hours later it was finished.
DB 2.5GB big. and the result was after a rebuild the db was 512KB.....result again wait 26hours because no Backup made before Rebuild :)

Purge_History is not clear totals.
You can use it as described.

But i am sure if the clear all totals is not working, the database is somewhere corrupt and need to be fixed.

All Purge_History does is delete the detail older than 14 days.

In any case, if you do it through DB, the Store PRocedure that must be executed is sp_clearall.
