Micros mTablet R-series very slow

We recently had two mStation bases replaced, and one of our tablets replaced. The new tablet works fine on the new mStation, but the old tablet suddenly started experiencing long delays. The delays usually happened when modifying food on a ticket, with sometimes 20 or 30 seconds of delay between pressing a button and getting a response. It's worth noting there's usually a message in the top right that says something like "processing, please wait". I'm not on site now, so I don't have the exact message.

My first thought to try switching the tablets to the other bases. The new tablet worked fine on both, and the old tablet worked on neither.

We figured it couldn't be a physical problem with the ethernet connection because the old tablet experienced the problem in both locations. Eventually, got a new tablet only to find it experienced the exact same issue.

So now I'm assuming it's something to do with the setup of that station in our Micros system. I've combed through settings, but can't find any differences from the working tablet (other than IP address and device name). Any ideas on what could be causing the slowdown?

After some additional testing:

One of our devices as com ports 1,4,5,6,7 open. The one that's not performing well has com ports 1 and 4 only. I can't find documentation about what the com ports are used for. The one with more ports has a cash drawer assigned to it, but aside from that there are no differences in peripherals.

Also, the delay only happens when the tablet is docked.

Hiya, just a wild stab in the dark here... are you using the mTablet via Wi-Fi or via a LAN connection? was just wondering if there is maybe a conflict with the data going on.. I know ours used to only run either on LAN OR WiFi but couldn't be both... so we had to disable one connection method within Windows network settings...

Check programming for that device. I usually program for comports one and four only. What do you see?
