We began advising clients to request TLS 1.2 status reports from their respective POS vendors over a year ago. We are realizing now that some of those POS vendors held back important information re: their POS platforms and how TLS 1.2 would impact our POS clients. Clients are only now learning that they must replace entire POS stations, back office PC's etc for TLS compliancy and only have weeks/months to decide on upgrading their platform or replace their POS entirely. Not all POS vendors held back, many provided detailed analysis with options so that our clients could decide on a direction without stressful conditions. Our clients with Micros e7 are only now being told that their WS4 POS stations must be replaced if the business wants to continue processing credit cards through the e7 POS. My question is, is there a central location to go to that provides TLS 1.2 deadlines for all processors and POS systems with accurate deadlines for TLS 1.2 deployment?
