Hello,

Sometime on the Feb 26th our back office PC's disk filled up (100gb of cab files in windows/temp??). Didnt notice until the next day and promptly cleaned up the drive. Saw today that the batches weren't getting created at all in the End of Day Autosequence. MerchantLink is seeing the transactions on their end, but in the credit card utility there is no batch created. Even ringing in one transaction and trying to settle the batch gives a status of 'Created 0 batches with 0 total records'. It seems that not being able to write to the disk on the 26th and part of the 27th has left things in this bizarre state. Low level Micros support was left scratching their heads. Another strange side effect, we can't re-open closed checks, the list is blank. Reporting seems to work fine, but until we synchronized the mismatched business dates, the date picker wouldn't let me see anything other than the current day.

Im at a loss, Micros suggested going to backup but our support contract wont cover this for now. Can anyone help?

A back-up DB? That's easy enough to do; don't need the good-for-nothing Help Desk.

I figured it out at 2am last night. When the disk was full, the end of day couldn't properly write the credit card batch file. It ended up just being 0 bytes but named correctly. The log had this error:

1,**ERROR** Failure reading CC batch file: C:\Program Files (x86)\MICROS\e7\db\CreditCardBatches\Pending\ccb20170227_4035.bin

I removed it and all seems to be back to normal. I lost three days of batches but Merchant link is going to rekey them (for $150).
