I am trying to repurpose our e7 system I want to maintain the menu and such but create all new employees and job codes. However there is a lot of old stuff in there, I select the employee to delete and it won't let me because there is a time card detail, most of these are from a couple of years ago, how can I get rid of these?

I would leave them alone and create a new set/range of Employee numbers per position. There's a lot to clean up if you are simply "Deleting" the Employee account number.

OK, I have pretty much done this, just seems like I could free up a lot of space by doing some housekeeping, I didn't think it would be such a big deal to delete these records

Yea, there are references here and there, Cashier links and such. Just easier to give a new range. You can create a "Terminated" Position Group, that has no access for anything, no Sign-in, No Privileges and such and then set the Unused numbers to the "Terminated" Position.

when I clear totals how will it effect all the other data that I need? I have a couple of groups Managers, Training, Old Employees and New Employees...the whole Old Employees needs to go without affecting any of the other groups or menus or such. I guess I am unfamiliar with what exactly the clear totals does and was afraid to execute that

So, I tried to clear the totals and it says I don't have access to do that, I am the administrator of the machine so I am not sure what the issue is

I'm not sure I called Micros and had them set me up as an admin so I assumed I was a superuser

Are you doing this through the database? If so, you may not be using an account that has the proper access for clearing totals.

Also, there is generally a difference between the Site's admins and the Micros admin account. Site admin (your account) could have a few options that are not checked/selected, but the Micros admin has them.
