Does anyone know where I can find someone who can help build some remote access tools for Micros platforms (3700, e7, etc)? Payment for services, of course. I've posted on here several times but never get any feedback

I'll offer help and tips when I can, but my non-compete agreement prevents me from taking on outside projects so can't help you out on this one.

Try getting in touch with Blue Moon Solutions - They do good work and only work on Micros products so you're not getting some generic programmer who doesn't really know the system.

If you're looking for data extractions or some kind of functionality that's initiated through POS Operations they may be able to come up with a solutions. I know they do a lot of SIM and SQL work for at least 3700/8700/9700 systems, not sure about E7.

If you're looking for remote integration directly with POS Operations, orders placed through a 3rd part application for instance, that may be a different story. That kind of work requires a substantial investment for the API licensing and there aren't many developers what have made that leap yet. It couldn't hurt to ask them though.

Thanks PMegan. Another question I had: it looks like all the data we're after gets put into the journal files for the 3700. These are archived every day and each terminal has a real-time journal file that's updated until it's archived. Extracting these seem to be really easy. Have you heard of remote journal extraction and will there be any problems I should anticipate running into before I build an extractor?

Let me know if you are still looking for help on remote database extraction. I can try to help as I am familiar with that.

VBNDC,

Thanks for the responce, we are still looking for a way to connect remotely into the database and extract the data we need. Please contact me at Avkashinbox@gmail.com if you have any suggestions on how we can do this efficently.

Thank you again for your help.

Kash
