Micros 9700, Date not rolling over

Hi, I am new to this forum but couldn't find my issue when i searched.

Problem:
I am working with a hotel running Micros POS 9700 (enhanced?) for the restaurant and POS system refuses to close the date and change to the next business day. Everyday has been a cumulative sum of the last few weeks worth of folios. HUGE accounting nightmare

Background:
The hotel side runs Opera for the rooms. We recently made some changes to the Opera side of things and soon after they did, the problems began. I asked Opera support if there was anything on their end they could have messed up when they were changing things over but they refuse to take credit (sound familiar?). I am trying to get Micros support on the phone but they have been avoiding me. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What version of 9700 are you running? Is it 2.x or 3.x? Also, when you refer to the rollover date, is that the daily report "incremented" business date you see in the reports? I work for Micros and might know the answer to this.
