Micros 8700 Interfaces

Help, we have an issue. We converted our Micros to Gaming System interface from serial to TCP/IP and now we are getting intermittant duplications when redeeming thru the interface. Our local Micros VAR has told us that this is normal and that other customers have converted back to serial. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Our company has implemented a Gift Card sales and redemption system for the Micros 8700 system using the SIM / TCP interface. We have NOT seen duplicate redemptions through this interface. Not certain how you implemented, so I can't say much more.

Thanks for the info. We did implement it that way, but what we found was that it was on the IGT side of the interface and not on Micros' side. We went back to serial until they update their side.
