Dear Tek-Tips Crew:

Recently we added PatronPath for online ordering then the Open Table Omnivore POS connector to our MICROS 3700 server.

We had issues where our MICROS system would not come back up after the weekly scheduled task reboot and had to be restarted via MICROS Control Panel - select Front of House. Additionally our CAL registers would reload a lot more often than normal.

I removed the Ominvore software - and the reloading of the CALs ceased. However, the weekly reboot is still failing to bring the MICROS Sql server back into operation.

Is there a way to script the restart of the Front of House sequence?

I noticed in the MICROS logs that there is a constant listing of the following:

Thu Jun 06 13:27:14 2019 | FV-MICROS | PManager.OPS | 0 | PSM 0: Not waiting for operator response, ready to process command events |

Figured that this PManager.OPS is the MICROS Print Server? Could this be keeping the Sql Shutdown from shutting down the Database cleanly then keeping the MICROS system off?

Any help, tips or breadcrumbs are appreciated greatly!

The setting for auto start level is in POS Config -> Restaurant. Set it to front of house. If omnivore was causing OPS to reload often, it likely means it was writing to a table frequently somewhere. If you look in 3700d log you'll see it normally only does a full refresh on OPS on the workstations when too many updates/inserts/delete occur in the database in a short time.
