I have a 3700 5.0 system running with 3 Micros UWS 4, the workstation 4s work with no problem. I am trying to add a Micros Workstation 5A, after running CAL on the UWS 5A it looks like OPS is going to load, but then i get an error.

Theres a box title of 3700 OPS APP, in the box it reads:

error initializing text files-40:
.off file length error
current directoy:

Files:
opstext.trn
opstext.off

Does anyone know what this error means? And how to fix it? I have not seen this error since Workstation 4's came out. I vagley remember how to copy a file, but for the life of me cannot remember what file? Or where? And i did not think i had to copy any files manully, since CAL was invented. Anyone have any ideas??

If I remember correctly, opstext.trn and opstext.off are text/font files that Micros uses.

Look on your server for the Client Installs > CALInstall > [Workstation number/type]. In your case, look for the WS5 or WS5A folder. You will need to look through the files here and copy them from the server to the workstation (VIA USB). They could be corrupt. Your best bet might be to flash the workstation and reconfigure it. Make sure your server has the CALinstall for your workstation model.

I have tried that multiple times w/no luck. I remember this error from when uws4's first came out.
I worked intil I flashed ws5a now a ws4 works fine, but 5a gets above error

please anyone that can help. I need to get this

ya actualizo el opsdisplay y el ops08X10.tft del directorio etc

don't understand (put file in etc dir....)but thanks. will try

Check to see if those files are in the server for that client (WS5A). I would copy them over from the WS5 or WS4 client folders. They should go in \micros\Txt. Afterwards, re-CAL.
