Micros 3700 V5.2 - menu items in serviced check goes missing

Hi All,

This problem seem to have been coming along since I upgraded this site from V4.7 to V5.2 (nova patch incl) on Server 2008

There was a Thread on the same issue about a year ago, but not much of an answer was given, so I am reposting the same question again?

Question
"Just ran into this problem.
Let's say server opens a new table, puts an order and sends it.
Kitchen receives the order - it prints in full.
Server reopens the check, but it is empty or some items are gone from the check.
Happened few times, different servers, different menu items.
Nothing suspicious in the reports, no voids, comps or deletes.

For now we just resend same items with DON'T MAKE so they would appear in the customers receipt."

Any body seen this before? and happen to have a fix for this?

Next time you see this happening i suggest you go to the server and run the following SQL query. If you dont know how to run a sql query then have a look here.

select chk.chk_seq, chk.chk_num, tdtl.trans_seq, dtl.dtl_seq, edef.first_name + ' ' + edef.last_name as TransactionEmployee, dtl.dtl_type, dtl.dtl_name, dtl.rpt_cnt, dtl.rpt_ttl, dtl.*
from micros.chk_dtl chk
    join micros.trans_dtl tdtl
        on chk.chk_seq = tdtl.chk_seq
    join micros.dtl dtl
        on tdtl.trans_seq = dtl.trans_seq
    left join micros.emp_def edef
        on tdtl.trans_emp_seq = edef.emp_seq

where chk.chk_num = 5
order by tdtl.trans_seq, dtl.dtl_seq

replace the 5 with the check number you want to find information about.
See if you have extra negative lines or transaction lines that you dont expect.

Hi, thanks for this.

We just had this problem again, I ran the script and got the following result below there is two negative transactions.

They realised the error and reprocessed the two missing lines on the transaction again.
The 2 Items names are " PODS Margherita & PODS XT Ham"

What does this mean, and how do we fix this?

we just had another check that done this, I also ran the script again, but this time around I had no negative transactions.
