MICROS 3700 Screen Displayed

So I was wondering if it is possible to set specific employee numbers to display a specific screen when they open a table. For example, when one of my servers puts their number in, it displays the floorplan. When they open a table, it brings them to the Food Main screen. Is there any way to change that for specific employees (i.e. Bartenders) so that, instead of them seeing the Food Main screen, they get popped up to the Bar Main Screen instead?

This is definitely possible. We have a different touchscreen setup for Bartenders and then have it setup for them under POS Configurator -> Employees -> Employee Classes -> Default Touchscreen.

Our servers are set to StdTblMap while our bartenders are set to Btdr Main

I don't know if any of this is setup by default, but I hope it helps get you started. If you need any clarification please let me know.

Not really. The screen you pop to after starting a table is determined by the "next screen" setting for the table button.



One option is to create a duplicate floor plan for your bartenders:
Go to devices / touchscreens, select your floorplan, press F5 then F6).
Rename the new floorplan so it doesn't get confusing.
Go to devices / touchscreen designer and select the new floorplan.
Set the "next screen" for each of the table buttons to the bar screen instead of the food screen.
Then just change the default transaction screen for the bartenders to your new floorplan.

An easier option, if it makes sense for your business, is to just not use the floorplan for bartenders. I have all of my systems set up this way. The tables are available in the bar RVC and the bartenders use a "begin table" button. but we always have at least one server and one bartender working though, so there's no crossover in table service.

I think I was mistaken what you were asking in your first post. You want to do this by the server's login ID and have it go to a different main screen once they start an order... As far as I know that's only configurable per workstation (Default Transaction Screen in "User Workstations"). We have our bar terminal set to Bar Main, while the rest are set to Restaurant Main.
