Is there a way to print a bitmap on a trailer through a SIM? Or how can I print out japanese characters?

You can probably print japanese characters through ESC/POS in a SIM. Otherwise, yes. As long as you save it as a monochrome bitmap and put it in the bitmaps folder you can link it to the trailers in POS Configurator -> Descriptors -> Trailers.

Yeah, I can print a bitmap straight from pos config > trailers, but how would you do it via a SIM? I would like it to only print on selective trailers, not all. What do you mean by ESC/POS? When I try to enter japanese characters, they print out as circles/squares.

Look for an Epson TM88 receipt printer manual online - it will explain ESC/POS and the process of storing images in the local printer memory.

Actually, looks like the commands on page 4 are obsoleted - the commands on page 2 look like the current ones.
