Micros 3700 printer error message 1

Does anyone know how to get this error message to stop? [KITCHEN PRINTER Chk 3448, CASHIER Printer Communication Failure Sending to Backup Pinter: Roll01]

We have already done the following:
1. cleared all open checks and rebooted the system.
2. turned the receipt printer on and off
3. we don't have a "kitchen printer" - we only have 1 printer attached to 1 of our 2 workstations. Both workstations print to 1 printer.

We can select OK and type in the transaction but the error message still comes up again at the beginning of every transaction.

When does the error occur? When servicing / printing any cheque? Or when ringing in food items and sending? Or just specific food items? Might be a print class that is set to print to a kitchen printer. You can also look in manager procedures and if you see a kitchen printer listed disable it.
 
It sounds like you have some default order printers programmed into your database.

Sign into one of the workstations and go to Manger Procedures
Click on the Printers button at the top
From there you can select the printers you don't have and disable them

That will stop the error messages, but you should correct the print classes linked to your menu items so they aren't trying to send to non-existent printers.
 
I disabled the printers from the Manager Procedures and it looks like that is working! I will continue to monitor it. I will also look at the menu items print classes. Thank you!!
