Hi,

Micros res 4

Hourly employee works on a holiday which is paid at time and a half.
Micros 'wants' to pay them straight time for their clocked hours as the system does not recognize the hours as being on a holiday.

How do I get Micros to pay 1.5 for the hours worked on a particular day?
I know I can create a non clock job code that defaults to 1.5 their normal pay rate but that involves having to back out the hours from the time card and entering the hours in under the holiday job code in the non clock pay section.

Seems to me like there may be an easier method that is eluding me.

Are you using Labour Management? If so use "Premium Pay" to implement holiday pay. Not sure if it can be done if not using LM though

Hi,

Thank you for your time in looking at this.
From what I understand Premium pay is used to provide additional pay after a certain number of hours are reached like overtime only you can program triggers to award the pay.

You need to set up holidays in "Premium Pay", set up the rate to pay on holidays (your case 1.5 the hourly rate), then link those Premium Pay holidays to the jobs that should be getting paid the extra holiday pay.
One thing you need to watch is you need to change the dates for some of your holidays that do not land on a set day of the month at the start of a new year. New Years day, Christmas, etc will always land on the same day. Thanksgiving, labour day, etc will need to be updated at the start of the year to the correct day of the month as the do not always fall on the same calendar day each year.

Hello Wildbar,

I will give this a try in the next day or so and let you know how it worked out.
Thank you so much for your time.
