I accidentally changed the micros user password. Now, the applications are not able to communicate.

Is there anyway I can know the default password or can anyone guide to enter the new password so that micros application can communicate.

Pls help.

i usually get around this by running

update micros.rest_def set ob_classic_security = 'T'

in dbisql to disable enhanced security, and then look up the micros employee in the emp_def table for the pos config login code

Afterwards, be sure to run

update micros.rest_def set ob_classic_security = 'F'

to re-enable the security

Kartsl1's answer is not related.

You should set the password back to its previous value and the applications will work again. Then change the password through the Micros Database Manager which will update it correctly.

If you don't know the previous password just let me know.
