Micros 3700 - ISL Decryption Tool

Hello All,

We're looking for a method of decrypting some ISL files residing on our workstations.

I have the encrypt tool, but not the decrypter.

I have contacted our Micros account manager to source this tool, only to be told it is a chargeable service per decrypted ISL and would not provide me with the tool.

This cannot be true, as I have read other posts on this forum from people who claim to have the tool. A 3rd party company we use for support for some of our overseas stores also has the tool.

Can anybody please advise me on how to get this?

Hi can you attache the encrypted isl files I might be able to help as for giving you the tool, it might not be possible

Understandable, although how did you get the tool yourself? Or can you advise me on how to attain it myself?

I’m unsure about uploading the ISL files as I do not know their full contents as I can’t read them!

I got it when it was still not prohibited to have it, right now its seems to be a taboo to even talk about it so you might get people on the forum who are willing to assist you decrypt but not necessarily give you the tool thus it boils down to you how much do you need the files decrypted

Ah, now it’s clear.
We inherited our system and it’s ISL files from Micros, they previously handled our support. We have since taken it in-house and have no need for our files to be encrypted.

I seem to be at a dead end. I wish for them to be decrypted and nobody can assist us short of it being a billable job from Micros. Without knowing the full contents of the files, I also darent upload them to this forum.
