Micros 3700 GSS Gift Cards

In regards to Gift Cards.


We want to recycle/reuse old zero out gift cards. Instead to adding value to it, under the old customer, is there anyway that we can delete that customer/Gift card record?
We use the standard GSS Micros Gift Card module.

Another reason is deposits.

We take a deposit for an event and its an online credit card transaction from another program.
We then input the deposit into Micros. If the customer cancels we usually redeem it to a Gift Card and send them the Gift Card.

But from time to time the customer insists on crediting their Credit Card and were stuck with that deposit in Micros.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Mike,

The GSS gift holds card numbers and values only.
GSS A/R holds account numbers and people (and the account value/balance)
GSS loyalty holds account numbers and points.

These are all separate things unless you used the same number. There is no "holding a value under a customer" for gift.

If you did use the same number, change the customer account reference number or delete the customer all together in the A/R or loyalty section.

When you say "you are stuck with that deposit" what do you mean? Can't you just charge a credit (negative deposit amount) to the card?
