Our Aloha locations have been set like this for years... Every November - Dec. 15 we run a promotion where if you buy a $ 100 gift card (or more), you get $ 15 either free on the card or on a second card. My question is:

[ul]
[li] Is there an easy way to auto-discount $ 15 off a gift card IF $ 100+ gift card is purchased but... ONLY apply[/li] the discount to a gift card sale (so they can't use it towards a meal or drink purchase) and ONLY apply the discount is $ 100+ gift card is purchased in the same transaction? (We have a SIM license, if that is needed...)
[/ul]

Thanks!

Are you using iCare or GSS, or SVC?

Are you using menu items or service charges for issuing cards?

My understanding is it's a SIM that updates Chase directly (we purchased a SIM module about a year ago) and they just swipe the card like a credit card using a SIM function.

I don't believe we are using service charges, but how would I check? Thanks!

If you open POS Configurator, you can go to the Services charges button on the first screen (depending on your version may just be Discounts/Service Charges instead of two separate buttons). If its a menu item, it will just be in your menu somewhere just like any other item. There isn't really an easy way to tell when looking at the screen what it is.

Ok, sorry for the delay (site was down earlier). It is under "Service Charges" ... 150 - Issue G Card and 155 - Reload G Card
