Micros 3700 End of night auto sequence does not complete.

Steps 14 and 15 did not complete which are purging the closed checks and backing up the data base.

From the log step 14 D:\micros\res\pos\scripts\backup4.bat failed returning error code 3
This is what is in the batch file DM -UID 999999 -PWD 999999 -B -K -V

This could be why I have to reboot my server every day.

can you back up your db with out the -v switch?

if so then you might have to try rebuilding the database first then try to back up and validate.

Thanks I removed the -V and it worked so now how do I rebuild the database MD

to rebuild the database you will have to log on into de dm console. note that your user need to have all the rights for database manager in order to perform a rebuild.

Back up your database first and then make a copy of it move it to a different location in order to avoid overwritting it and just in case if something goes wrong during your rebuild
