Micros 3700 Cash Drawer Set-up ???

Hello! I am the manager of a bar using Micros 3700. Recently I had to swtich out our workstation (we only use 1 workstation and 1 cash drawer). But, I cannot get the workstation the "recognize" the cash drawer. I plugged in the cash drawer to the workstation in "cash drawer 1" & I followed the instructions: POS configurator/devices/user workstations/cashier/assign cash drawer by UWS. Right now, we cannot open/close our cash drawer on demand from the work station. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

In Devices\User Workstations\Cashier does the unit have a Cash Drawer? Look at the settings from another machine and set the same here in regards to cash management, assigning cashiers etc
 
The unit has a cash drawer (assigner to cash drawer 1).

Whether working at the database or workstation, all settings are the same for assigned cashiers and cash cash drawers..

So are you using cashiers or cash management? You need to provide more information. Can you do a no sale and kick the drawer? Is it for balancing ? What are the reports used to balance the other tills?
 
Have you ever used Micros Aplications/Confidence Test ??
 
Good point Mirko. Need to make sure the CD is in CD #1 & test the firing using confidence test or no sale
 
We are using Cashiers, I beleive. If I try to use "No Sale" to open the drawer, it says "No cash drawer assigned". The drawer is balancing, we only use the "pre-close" report.

What CD should I be using? and where should it be?

This is my first time using Micros 3700, and I really appeciate your patience. Thanks!
 
Ok, under Micros Applications/Confidence Test/cash drawer 1, the PCWS options are unavailable...?

OH Why didnt you say so? Its the employee / login you are using. This user does not have a cash drawer assigned. In confugurator go to employees\pos for the user and select the drawer 2 for cash drawers.

Your user does not have a cash drawer assigned.

All users have a cash drawer assigned, and still the same error message is coming up..

Now, we are having bigger problems..

For no apparent reason, when we try to close-out open tabs (cash, credit..) we get another error message. "Till Assignment is Required in this Revenue Center".

I am very concerned about this because we cannot close out the drawer or get accurate sales reports.

Speaking of Micros Connfidence Test, Does anyone know how to descramble the user access code to open a cash drawer? I am trying to open 2 used ones I bought online with Micros Confidence Test. I remember that you must take their 6 digit code and add or subtract to it to make a constant value... Thanks a million...

Sorry i missed that ... long time since I worked for micros I just had to ask someone who is in the know and here are the results:

There is a 6 digit number displayed - and the formula for the access code is

1. x 2. + 4. + 6. digit

example: displayed number is 352567
-> 3 x 5 + 5 + 7 = 27

Tell me if it worked...
