Hello All,
Wanted to see if there are any cost-effective solutions out there which can integrate the EMV chip reader terminal with micros 3700 terminals.
WE bought some FastData EMV chip reader, but the cashier has to punch in the total into this terminal which causes errors and time it takes to authorize.
Is there a solution out there which can transfer the total of the ticket to the EMV chip terminal?
thank you all.

Not that I am aware of. The EMV reader and PCI compliancy should take this function away from the workstation, so it is not handling any Credit Cards.
Contact your Processor and find out if they know of any.

We use the Micros Payment Gateway service which allows us to send the payment from the tills to a physically linked VeriFone VX820 Chip & PIN device (connected via RS232 or IP).
We are also able to use the VeriFone VX680 devices to pickup a RES3700 check at the table, and once transaction is finalised the check is automatically closed within the database.
Each day MPG automatically generates a payment batch and sends over to our Merchant Account for processing, so there is no need to perform a daily batch upload on each of our payment devices...

(EDIT - The Merchant Acquirer is Elavon, if it helps)

I have done extensive research on this. Elavon has a solution (sounds like what Bullentj is using). MerchantLink also has a MPG solution but it is limited to 10 or less terminals on MPG. They are supposed to have an Oracle Programming Interface (OPI) version coming out very soon which will remove the 10 terminal limit.
If you don't have MPG or OPI there are other options, as long as your Micros 3700 is licensed for Transaction Services.
When you say FastData, are you talking about FirstData?

There is a solution here you can evaluate. In fairness to anyone reading this, this solution was developed by my company. Please don't misconstrue this as a sales pitch or solicitation. Just addressing the OP's question specifically.

The solution in its most simplistic configuration maintains the same exact workflow the merchant is used to but instead of swiping a card through the MSR attached to the POS workstation, the card is inserted, tapped or swiped on the payment device. There are several payment device options to choose from depending on the merchant's desired workflow. In the case of the OP's question, you would be looking at devices under the "Traditional Table Service Workflow" or "QSR Workflow".

Details can be found here.

Thank you guys.
I am calling Payment Logistics.
