I was wondering if any one can help me with a printer problem. I have 2 Micros 2700's in use at a restaurant, one of which was recently repaired. The restaurant also has 3 printers, one for each unit, and one bar printer that also doubles as the kitchen printer. The printers are Epson U220b's. The problem is that food and drinks print to both register 1 and the bar printer when they should only go to the bar. It also prints server reports and guest checks at at both printers when they should only go to register 1. I also noticed that both printers will have "bar printer" printed on the ticket, and "restaurant printer" printed on the food and server reports. I have a manual, and have adjusted the device table every way I can think to do, but it seems that the registers are reading the bar printer and printer 1 as the same. The printers are connected by IDN cable with register 1 connected to IDN 1 and bar printer to IDN 2. I have adjusted the DIP setting on the back of the bar printer to match IDN several times and several ways.
I have looked through almost all posts pertaining to this topic and tried the solutions without success. I do not know if the problem is a device table or other problem. Can anyone help with a solution or put up an example of the device table with 2 system units and 3 printers ? I have only found examples using 1 unit. I have also gone into diagnostics on both units and it says there is No CIB in either unit, just a TIB in each.
I am at my wits end , PLEASE help ??
