Hi all,

I have noticed something weird at one of our customer sites. When on a call, there is no option to place the call on or off hold using the MiCollab desktop client. I have advised the user of mid call Fixed Single-Digit Codes to fix this but I was wondering if this is an option I can turn on in the MiCollab client services?

the version that it currently does not show is 6.0.510.1

I have a version of MiCollab desktop client that it does work for and it is 7.1.0.62

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
JCCDM

are they teleworkers ?
Are they hotdesks?

is the digit length of the Device only longer than the digit length of the extension?

if it is , then you will have to increase the pabx extension length setting to match the longest

i think you will find if the handset ( physical device0 puts the call on hold and then retrieves it the hold button will appear on the Micollab client call handling pane

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Thanks for the reply Billz.

The users are hot desk users, and I can confirm that the option comes up after they have pressed the option once on the handset but unfortunately we can't expect them to use the hold button at the start of every call and a few of the users are noticing this while working mobile.

I will have a look into the extension length but can you please advise what form I may be looking in to change this?

Controller is a MX 3300 - 7.2

Cheers,
Justin.

its in the muicollab server ,micollab blade, configure server PBX nodes

ext length MUST be max length of any exts or devices used

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I have the same issue but then only the MiCollab mobile app. There are no physical phones used.
The users want to put the calls on hold from the app.
How can i get the hold button working?
I do not see anything with there COS.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Just an update,

I have tried changing the extension length in the PBX nodes tab and no change was seen in the MiCollab call window.

Any other options to check would be appreciated.

But what happens if you need to enter 1 for a menu? then you put that side on hold i guess???

I believe they need to press * to disable DTMF tones and then they can make selections in a menu setup.

JCCDM, i cannot try at the moment but do your users have a multikey? this should enable the hold button.
I will be at this customer at monday so hopefully you can test it.

Ok, the mutlikey seems to be default for EHDU users and does not work.
I think this is as designed but still stupid i think.
