I just did an upgrade from MICB 2.11 to ICB 4 which has replacement card vintage BC. Conference bridge is up and working. Set up conference thru TUI and tested. However I can not ping the IP address so BUI doen't work. Put old card and softwre back and IP works so the IP not turned off from network. Network not turning off port for unrecognized Mac address.
Anyone know if I missed something in the Doc.s and need a different ethernet connector or just have a bad card?

sounds like a card, you seem certain that your security is not screening the mac, and that leaves the card.. same ip, same mask, same cable... on board nic

You have to assign the IP address to the card; you need to do a direct connect with a PC and the cable that comes with it and go through command line and assign the IP address.

The upgrade copied the IP over but I did go in on terminal and step thru addiing it again still to no go.

I'm sure you did, but I have to ask, Did you move the dongle over to the new card?

FYI,
The original connection was connected directly to the network switch. I put the connection thru a hub and it works. Per one of my network folks it probably has to do with the network speed and he figures turning on auto nogotiation on the port will fix. I will check that out today.

When I upgraded my MICB II to ICB 4, I found that the card would not auto-negotiate properly. I tried with both my Nortel BPS2000 switch, and a Cisco switch, and neither time would it work. I had to nail the switch port to 10 Meg Half-Duplex, and it works fine.

Thanks Telephonist,
That is what we did. I think it may have to to with the connector on the I/O port. The NTP speaks of a different part # than what I have, but it works fine with the 10meg half duplex so I'm not going to worry about it.
