micb 2 email notification

our micb 2 email notification is not working. what are the parameters to check?

i already set the email server IP Address on the System Properties tab.
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Go to the mail server and see if you can ping the MICB. If they cannot ping each other they will not exchange messages.

yes i can ping the MICB from the Mail Server.

is this anything to do with DNS issues??
