3 TTY mcg port
- one for maintenance
- second for PMS
. third for tarification
In a time, 3 ports don´t work and I need to restart the system...
Besides, after reboot I need re-write pms port because I have PMS611 error.
MGC's came in at RLS 5.0, & I thought you need to have a PTY/TTY configured against the specific MGC loop. You could always use a cross over cable plugged in to the one of the CT/ Tlan ports, give yourself a free address in the TLAN subnet & use putty.
Yes, all tty was configured like this:
ADAN TTY 0 CTYP MGC
IPMG 4 0
DNUM 0
PORT 0
DES Mant
BPS 9600
BITL 8
STOP 1
PARY NONE
FLOW NO
USER MTC TRF SCH CTY BGD
CUST 00
XSM NO
TTYLOG 0
BANR YES
And cable is not the problem, because tty´s work fine for a few days. When fail, after restart, they work again
If they are sitting enabled but you cannot use them and they work after a reset I would look at changing out the MGC card. Have you tried just disabling and enabling the tty's to see if they start before a restart?
Yes, I tried to create tty in other MCG, and they are blocked. When they are blocked, I can´t enable - disable, because I don´t have acces to the system. All tty´s are blocked. I don´t tried whit a virtual tty through putty. This is an option...
I have now some patches, but I downloaded now a complet dependence list from avaya ESPL... I will try coming soon. I thought about this too, because I have other problem with tty1 for PMS. After restart, the system return a PMS611 error. It is solved charging a path, deleting tty and re-create. Tipical problem for all releases
